Love’s Sorrow
Means of Mercy #1
By: Terri Rochenski

Hired as a nanny for her cousin’s children, Anne Tearle finds security and a loving family. The children are a dream, but London society is a world of its own, one where a displaced farm girl has no business being. But, wealthy rake, Gavin MacKay, helps her to see associating with the upper class might not be as horrid as she first assumed.

Like all things worthwhile, love comes at a price, and the cost soon bestows more anguish than joy. Lost, but not undone, Anne must find the courage to begin life anew, or succumb to sorrow’s unrelenting waves of grief.

Rocheski Terri - Head Shot 1 (2)
Terri started writing stories in the 8th grade, when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundi’s Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare ‘me’ moments her three young children allow. When not playing toys, picking them back up, or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.

Remember me by Amaleen Ison

Today, I’m very excited to bring you the COVER of the lovely and talented, Amaleen Ison.

Not only does she have the prettiest cover i’ve ever seen, but the the story behind the cover! Whoah!

REMEMBER ME: Sera isn’t living. She’s existing—barely. Bedbound by illness, she has no memory of life before the freezing barn she now calls home. A mournful song haunts her dreams and hints at a past not completely buried—one she’s desperate to uncover. Yet Father’s whirlwind visits to draw blood and administer medication don’t provide answers. He only confirms the one thing she already knows; she’s dying.

A lonely death without ever knowing her past seems inevitable until a sudden, mystifying return to health coincides with the arrival of a boy in the opposite out-building. The inextricable pull to the stranger, and the broken memories that storm her mind when he’s near, warn of a history quite different to any she could have imagined. If she’s to uncover the truth she craves, she’ll have to decide whether knowledge of the past is worth forfeiting her second chance at life.

Now for the COVER!

Author Picture & Bio:

Amaleen Ison Portriat

Amaleen Ison is a married mother of one. She lives with her family in Hertfordshire, England, along with her cats (Oscar and   Winston), guinea pig ( LouLou), and gerbils (Blackberry and Pumpkinseed). She writes Young Adult fantasy stories that meander into a variety of sub-genres.

As a child, Amaleen lived most of her life in her head. She imagined herself in mystical lands populated by the weird and wonderful. She still spends way too much time daydreaming, but now she writes about her imaginings and weaves them into stories. The fantasy element is always important, but more so the hodgepodge of emotions that arise from her characters first time experiences.

Jack & Jill Volume 1 – A Review

Reblogging this.. because I read it recently and LOVED it. A good clean *well written* Romance!

YA Chit Chat

jack-jill-volume-one-coverToday, I bring you Jennifer M. Eaton’s, Jack & Jill, Volume 1, a collection of two endearing, romantic short stories.

From the back cover:

Connect the Dots

Jill writes her most intimate Christmas wish to God—and throws it away for its ridiculousness, but Christmas wishes have a way of coming true, even when you don’t know what you’ve wished for.

A Test of Faith

One day after her Christmas wish comes true, Jill faces a wrenching choice that tests her deepest beliefs. Will love prevail over conviction, or is happiness nothing more than a fairytale?

When I first read these stories as a beta reader, I fell in love with them.  I love them still.  The characters are vibrant, well-crafted and endearing, especially Jill’s young daughter, Nikki.  They work well together, and the reader can’t help but fall in love with them and cheer them on.

The settings…
